Homeowner’s Profile: Carol and Ed have three children, a teenage daughter and 9-year-old twin boys. They wanted to open up the main floor living space and move the dining area next to the kitchen. Adding an
office/den with a fireplace gave this busy mom a place to relax – even if only for a few minutes!

Modifications Carol made to the Hanley, #5484:

Created a functional and spacious rear foyer by absorbing the screened in porch. (Changed the former bench and one coat closet to a large linen closet.)

Opened the kitchen up to the family room, creating more flexible work areas and dining space.

Added an office/den that doubles as a quiet get-away space.

Added a private bath for the teenage daughter.

Straightened out the master bedroom to gain some extra space.
