A Woman's Perspective ~ Home Plan Makeover
Mary found her ideal home plan; she made a few tweaks and now it’s perfect!
Homeowner's Profile: Mary and Bob are empty nesters who have frequent out-of-town guests. They also host card parties quite often and need a large, open area for entertaining family and friends. They chose
to convert Bedroom 3 to a large walk-in closet and a small pocket office that they'd use much more often. A functional rear foyer that was separate from the laundry room was another priority.

Modifications Mary made to the Elrose, #5507:

Enlarged the garage to 24' x 24'.

Moved the fireplace to the corner to allow for more large windows on the great room's back wall.

Converted Bedroom 3 to a large walk-in closet for the master suite, along with an additional pocket office off the great room.

Changed the entrance into the home to establish a rear foyer that includes a half bath, a drop zone and a large coat closet.

Redesigned the laundry room, adding a planning center and a broom closet.

Added an entertainment center/coffee bar in the master suite.

Enlarged the island and added a prep sink in the kitchen.

Added a large pantry in the kitchen, plus a breakfast bar with an under-counter microwave next to the refrigerator.
