A Woman's Perspective ~ Home Plan Makeover
Janie found her ideal home plan; she made a few tweaks and now it’s perfect!
Homeowner's Profile: Janie and Mike are empty nesters who love to entertain family and friends. They need an office that can function as a secondary
bedroom for grandkid sleepovers or infrequent out-of-town guests. Storage and organization are a must - so more free time can be spent golfing!

Modifications Janie made to the Payson, #5034:
-
Created a functional rear foyer by adding lockers, a drop zone and a large walk-in closet that can be accessed from the front or rear entrance.
-
Opened up the kitchen and breakfast area by removing a family room wall, redesigning the cabinet and counter space, adding a corner pantry,
reconfiguring the island and stretching the breakfast area 4 feet to the rear.
-
Moved a direct vent fireplace to the corner and installed TV components above.
-
Created a more desirable master suite by adding a wall of windows and a better entrance into his and her closets. Also relocated the toilet behind
a pocket door, redesigned the vanity with a curved front and included a luxurious spa shower.
-
Reconfigured the laundry room by stretching it 2 feet to the front -- provided a new folding table with sorting bins below, added a pull down
ironing unit and moved the sink next to washer.
-
Created a flexible space that can serve as an office or secondary bedroom when needed. The built-in Murphy bed folds away nicely when not in use.
-
Stretched the garage forward and to the side.
